. oomphatico’s .

Just returned home from a late night dinner date with some friends and frankly, I have absolutely no idea why am I still up blogging considering that I still have to report to work at 830am tmr! On a Saturday.

I digress. Anyway, I was looking through the gazillion pictures in my laptop when I realised that I have yet to introduce this quaint European-themed cafe that Sara and I happened to come across a few weeks back. Thank god that Chilli’s was too crowded to accommodate us, else we would have missed the opportunity to discover this whimsical cafe that was tucked in a quiet corner of Tanglin Mall (1 of my fav malls). Oomphatico’s – that was the name of the enchanting restaurant. A quick glance at the interior of the restaurant and we were immediately drawn by the quirky decor and funky mismatched furniture, so much so that we decided to give this restaurant a try despite its lack of crowd on a weekday evening.

It’s been a long time since I last blogged about my dates with friends – partly because I look way too shagged and drained after work these days and also, I just don’t think anyone would be too interested in seeing the usual pictures of my friends and me smiling for the camera in various dining places – but this discovery is one that I would like to share with everyone. On this note, I would like to mention that I’m one who’s really big on ambiance/decor when it comes to dining so seriously, I’m probably the worst food critic around as the quality and taste of food becomes a secondary priority.

Funny how they say that best friends think alike. The fact that Sara and I wore an outfit of a similar colour – Well, let’s face it. Coral pink is not exactly a very popular choice of colour – is a testament to the previous statement. BFF do think alike!
