Ask Me Questions

What camera(s) do you use?
Unfortunately, my camera is currently in a state of coma as I had accidentally dropped it during 1 of my exploration trip. Hence, I’m using a combination of cameras at the moment. My boyfriend’s Canon Powershot SX1 IS, my mother’s Olympus Mju-9000 Compact digital camera and my toy camera – Superheadz Nico Digi. Just a disclaimer here, this is not a photography blog although we sure wish to pick up some photography skills in the future!

What program do you use to edit your pictures and fonts?
Mainly Photoscape & Adobe Photoshop to edit the pictures, and Polyvore to create the fanciful fonts.

Why do you enjoy being a tourist in your own country?
It is often said that Singapore is a very boring country, with nothing much to offer. On the contrary, I think that there is actually a lot that we can do on our tiny island. Popular places of attraction aside, there are many nooks and crannies that will satisfy your appetite for excitement. Sure, some of these places might be off-the-beaten-track and it will take awhile to find its location but trust me, it’s worth the effort and time. All you need is a sense of adventure! Of course, I’m also thankful to have a wonderful boyfriend who shares the same interest as me! 🙂

What do you like to do during your free time?
Exploring Singapore. Documenting about my life via blogging. Yoga and more yoga. Aerial Hoop. Spending time with my 3 furkids. Catching up with friends in a quaint cafe. Attending inspiring talks by local entrepreneurs and art galleries/exhibitions. And my new-found love, swimming! Too little time and too many things to do on my checklist.

  25. Hi Stephanie,

Glad to know that you’ve fully recovered from your neck injury.

My daughter has just recently fractured her ankle at ampedsingapore trampoline park and from her description on how the crew seemed to downplay the injury, like yours…with an explanation it’s just a ligament/muscle pull/torn issue. Have you highlited to the management on the seriousness of your injury? I wonder how many more cases are out there with delayed visits to doctors base on the the crew’s assessment?

    • Hi Jeff. I hope that your daughter’s ankle is healing well now. So sorry to hear that she had an accident at the trampoline park too.

My friends wrote in to inform their management about their crew’s negligence with regards to my neck injury. However, they wrote back stating that they apologise for that but i had signed the indemity form. It was a very politically correct answer. Honestly i would have thought that they wld have taught their crew to practice caution and not assume injuries to simply be a sprain or muscle pull. Have you highlighted your daughter’s injury to them?

  26. Hi Stephanie,

No, I’ve yet to as the injury was only last week and my main concern at that time was on my daughter. Since then, I’ve been surfing the internet to uncover similar stories, trying to understand to how safe is the park and what is the management response and preventive measures put in place to avoid such accidents. From your case and my daughter’s recent episode, my impression is that management is using the indemnity clause to shrug off their responsibility; not a good sign for current/future patrons of the park.

Thank you for the feedback that your friends have written in and the management’s response. Your injury, which is life threatening, should have galvanize the management to review their safety features/processes, but did not seem to have, as evidence by my daughter’s injury. I’m thinking of what I should do next……since writing in will probably get me a standard response.

  27. What’s up, everything is going perfectly here and ofcourse every
one is sharing facts, that’s actually good,
    keep up writing.

  28. Hi Stephanie! Saw a pic in your blog that I wanna use for a mag that I’m working on. Can contact me via my email? Thanks! 🙂
