The selfless girl who aims to inspire

“Chloe Tan, a secondary one student at Tanjong Katong Girls’ School spent SGD$6,660, which is more than half of her life’s savings, to buy each of her 1,332 schoolmates a Help-A-Kid coin bank. The coin bank, which costs $5 each, was launched to mark the 10th Anniversary of the Straits Times Pocket Money Fund, with the aim of encouraging people to save. According to the article, Chloe Tan had contemplated donating to other charities but thought that this was the most appropriate given her current status as a student and the fact that she wants to help her peers. She also hopes to inspire others to donate.”
