About MeA 20-something who's out to explore what life has to offer to her. A life of oxymoron. A dreamer who loves to daydream about the perfect life and her aspirations but yet lack the guts to step out of her comfort zone(for now). A life full of choices and sometimes in the midst of making decisions, she finds herself in a struggle between her identity and her alter ego. The girl at the traffic light junction. And, this is the virtual space where she records about her adventures and journey in life ...

Just attended Serene’s beautiful wedding at Armenian Church. Am looking forward to her wedding banquet this coming Monday! 🙂
The many celebrations in life
2008 – The year when most of us celebrated turning 21 yrs old in style! House parties, chalets, clubs … It was official, we were finally adults and “legal”!
2009 – Say goodbye to our carefree days as we graduate from university and enter the ever-competitive workforce. Say hello to the never-ending stress and the ambition to climb the corporate ladder!
2011 – It’s the time of engagements and weddings. In just a span of 6 months, I’ve received countless of happy news from friends and colleagues alike regarding their recent successful bids to HDB flats, engagements and weddings! Congrats to all my dear friends 🙂
2015 – Do I hear, the arrival of a little bundle of joy? Anyone?
With so many of my friends taking the step to make a commitment for life, it’s inevitable that I’ve also been, reluctantly, the victim of many questions pertaining to my turn to walk down the aisle.
Well, my dear friends … The news is out! We wouldn’t be tying the knot anytime soon. Simply too many things that we want to accomplish on our individual TO-DO list . Plus, our need to have some breathing space apart from each other. But of course, like many couples, we have the occasional conversations about our “ideal” wedding. Our preference? To keep things simple and intimate with about 30-50 family members and close friends. If possible, to make do without the usual Chinese banquet although we reckon it’s tough to fight against traditions.
Some crazy but feasible ideas off my head. Don’t judge us!
Elope and get hitched in a drive-in wedding. Only in Vegas.

My childhood dream? The ultimate fairytale wedding. To get wed in The Happiest Place on Earth – Disneyland
Only request from the boy. He wants to flair. Yes, on his wedding day!
“She may be the reason I survive
The why and wherefore I’m alive
The one I’ll care for through the rough and ready years
Me, I’ll take her laughter and her tears
And make them all my souvenirs
For where she goes, I’ve got to be
The meaning of my life is…she”
– SHE, from Notting Hill soundtrack –
And … in front of loved ones and close friends, they said “I DO”
Attended a girlfriend’s wedding at Regent Hotel yesterday evening and as with all weddings, it was a beautiful event and I couldn’t be happier for the lovely couple to officially be Mr & Mrs. To think of it, I almost couldn’t make it for the wedding due to my prolonged absence from Facebook. In fact, I only knew of the invitation on the morning itself when Soy informed me that I had yet to accept the invitation via FB! Yes, the consequences of being MIA on a highly popular social networking site like Facebook. You might missed out on a happy occasion, such as your friend’s wedding! Thank god for last-minute miracles (Soy)! 🙂
Evangeline & Jackson – May you both celebrate every day together the way you have rejoiced on your wedding day!
Just received news from a close girlfriend that her boyfriend has proposed! Am absolutely delighted for the happy couple and I’m looking forward to celebrate her engagement! Spare no details, I’m all ears! Meet up soon, babe 🙂
A long overdue post as March has been a pretty busy working month for me. I’m beginning to see myself falling into the typical working trap and morphing into 1 of those working adults who head straight home after work because they are simply too exhausted for after-work activities. And … I just started officially working only 9mths back. Shit. Is this an indication of how my future is going to turn out? 😦
Nevertheless, the MT social dinner that my batch organized for the MT alumni and our directors turned out to be exceptionally fun. Scrumptious Italian cuisine, lots of booze ( I hate alcohol. period.) and lots of mingling. As we called it, “Black-Tie affair; this is not. Just come as you are for that casual flair. Here’s to a wondrous night of toasts, good cheer and savory delights!” It is always company events like this that make me realized how fortunate I am, as much as I’m miserable about my current job scope, to be surrounded by such friendly & easy-going colleagues. Guess you can’t have the best of both worlds, huh?
Finally, many thanks to MK for introducing such an awesome host and restaurant! 🙂
Frankly to speak, it is quite a challenge for people, especially those living in a pragmatic society like Sg, to master the courage to leave the often well-trodden and safe path to pursue their wildest dreams and live life to the fullest. Sarah of Sarah’s Loft and Melly of Green Laundry are 2 such bloggers who inspire me with their passion for originality and creativity. As such, I jumped at the opportunity for a meet-up when they organized a lovely picnic at Botanic Gardens earlier this month. Invited Soy along as she’s a dear friend who never fails to inspire me with her zest for life. =)
Met really cool fashion bloggers like Candice (who turns out to be an alumni of my secondary school. what a small world!), Qin and Valencia. Credit to them for all the pics of the picnic. Thanks babes! 🙂 Had a ball of fun laughing and chatting and oh yes, we even sang a birthday song to no one in particular as Candice had specially bought a huge yellow smiley cake for us! May we have more of such gatherings please?
A cup of friendship & a dose of girlfriends
keeps me sane in this chaotic world
Doesn’t everyone just loves a happy ending? The wedding of a lifetime that is filled with moments of love, intimacy, friendship and joy. And much more. As mentioned previously, 2010 is a year of weddings and engagements. I’m receiving more news of friends and relatives getting hitched as I slowly (but surely) approach mid-twenties (3 more yrs to go). First up, Shu Jing’s lovely church wedding. ♥♥♥
I love being married. It’s so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.

Omg. Just received news that 2 of my gfs just got engaged! In fact, I’m receiving more news of friends/cousins either getting engaged or hitched this year! Serene calls it the “Engagement Virus”! Gosh, do I have to face up to reality that I’m reaching mid-twenties soon?
