About The Girl

9 Nov 2013 –

A 20-something who’s out to explore what life has to offer to her. A life of oxymoron. A dreamer who loves to daydream about the perfect life and her aspirations but yet lack the guts to step out of her comfort zone(for now). A life full of choices and sometimes in the midst of making decisions, she finds herself in a struggle between her identity and her alter ego. The girl at the traffic light junction. And, this is the virtual space where she records about her adventures and journey in life …”

Let me see, how do I even begin to define the girl behind this blog in 1 single paragraph? Well, it takes 20-something years of experiencing life, many decisions – some good and some just bad -, successes and mistakes in life to be who I am today. So, yes, it will be a huge challenge to summarize myself in a few lines. In a nutshell, I would say that I’m quite the typical Sagittarius who is constantly on the lookout for adventure and excitement to add to my life experiences. Outside of my tiny cubicle, I’m most likely to be found on the yoga mat; where yoga has taught me to live in the present moment and achieve a balance in life. My other loves? My 3 dogs. Wanderlust. Exploring the nooks and crannies on this little red dot. Amusement parks and roller coasters. Penning down my thoughts on the blog. Anything that gives me an adrenaline rush. Anything Disney. Anything whimsical.

Along the way, work and personal commitments came into place and I, soon, found myself slipping into a life that is relatively monotonous, of routines and comfort zones. This little virtual space of mine has came a long way back but it has certainly served to inspire me to be game for almost anything and live a “blog-worthy” life for myself. A vault full of pictures, thoughts and memories to last a lifetime, i hope.

Hope you enjoy your stay here! 🙂

    Dear Stephanie,

On behalf of the National Library Board (NLB), we would like to invite you to pledge your blog to the Singapore Memory Project as part of efforts to collect memories that are already manifested in existing online channels.

The Singapore Memory Project (SMP) is a national initiative to collect, preserve and provide access to Singapore’s knowledge materials. Spearheaded by NLB, the SMP aims to build a national collection of content in diverse formats (including print, audio and video), to preserve them in digital form, and make them available for discovery and research.

By pledging your blog to SMP, you are affirming that every memory matters. Whether your posts are an account of your daily life, or an expression of your thoughts, the SMP hopes to find a home for your memories so that it can help build towards an understanding of Singapore. You will also receive a badge that you can display on your blog in recognition of your contributions.

Contributors to this blog pledging initiative will be listed on Singapore Memory portal’s blog pledging webpage. All blogs pledged to SMP will archived using NLB’s web harvesting software, in addition to images of each blog’s landing page.

If you are keen to pledge your blog to SMP, simply fill up our response form at this following URL: http://singaporememory.simulation.com.sg/Public/Pledge.
