. light at the end of the tunnel .

I need a break. I need a break. I need a break. The same sentence ringing in my head over the past couple of weeks. I haven’t taken any leave since my Valentine’s Day trip with the boy to Bali back in Feb and honestly, I’m starved for a getaway. Was randomly surfing the net for a nearby island getaway when I came across this budget resort in the Eastern part of Bintan (away from the usual tourist spot in the Northern coast)! $40/night and we get to wake up to a breath-taking view of the sun rising from beyond the sea! The beauty of staying in an over-water chalet! You bet that it’s a deal that we cannot miss! Now, all we need to do is to find the time … Yes, the days can only get better.

It’s 6am now and I’m still at work rectifying issues caused by other departments that could have been easily avoided. Well, it’s hard not to be pissed after working close to a 24 hours work shift.

. look what i found! .

Look what I found while I was doing a minor spring cleaning of my room! A tiny Winnie the Pooh bear dressed in a doggy outfit. My room = treasure trove of little trinkets!

. much love monday .

Spot the heart in the picture above? 2 balloons turning into a heart! The past week has just been so trying and mentally-exhausting that come this week, I would like to concentrate on positive and optimistic thoughts. This week, I want to say I ♥ …

Having a wonderful & doting boyfriend who is always so accommodating despite my fickle tempers and busy schedule. Just yesterday, I had the monthly female emergency and the love didn’t hesitate to dash across the street to get a pack of pads for me!
♥ Coming home to the wagging tails of both Archie & Frosty, especially after a long and draining day at work. Their loud barks irritate the hell out of me at times but my life would be so empty without them!
♥ That my family is willing to make time for one another by catching the last Harry Potter movie together.
♥  Having the luxury for a DIY pampering session @ home. Mask and manicure!

Chase away the Monday blues by sharing what you love with others!

. SBA: Thank You .

It has been close to 3 weeks since the end of the voting period for the Singapore Blog Awards 2011. How time flies! Both work and part-time studies have been keeping me extremely busy and it’s little wonder that I look shagged and aged, accompanied by growing dark circles & eyebags, these days. My life, as of late, basically revolves around this very predictable and boring cycle: Wake up, work & barely having the time for proper meals, attend classes (twice a week) & sleep! In other word, I have officially joined the hordes of people who eagerly look forward to T.G.I.F at the start of the week … Thank god for that 1 day of rest that gives me the chance to do something that I actually enjoy, even if sleeping is rapidly climbing the chart! :p

Back to the topic, being selected as 1 of the top 10 finalist for the SBA Best Lifestyle Blog has certainly been quite an eventful journey for me, from the initial excitement of getting nominated to being invited to a couple of bloggers’ events (although work and studies take precede) to getting inquiries for advertorials. Would love to thank everyone – my no. 1 supporter – my mother! -, family, the boy, friends, readers and random strangers – for finding my blog an occasional delightful read and of course, for the support for keeping me in the top 3 finalists! Thank you, thank you & thank you!

Anyway, I look forward to having a blast at the award show tomorrow and as much as it would be freaking awesome to win the award (HAHA. Think of all the prizes … I would be a lying fool if I were to say that I’m not attracted to those prizes!), my vote goes to Bing from storyofbing! Well, it’s hard to beat someone whose blog I visit on a regular basis to get my daily dose of inspiration and musing! 🙂

Here are some of my favourite lifestyle blogs to share with you:
Story of Bing
Rockstar Diaries
Angela Gray

. when u’re having a HORRIBLE day, think of this .

Was sharing with the boy and my friends about my lack of tolerance dealing with people who are 1) a ticking time bomb, 2) outrageously unreasonable and 3) have a tendency to vacillate when a girlfriend sent me these HAPPY FOOD pictures to satisfy my raging sweet tooth! Thank you dear 🙂
