The Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) has organized a month-long (Feb) donation drive – Daffodil Days, Celebrating Hope – in its efforts to create public awareness of cancer in the society. All funds collected from the sales of Daffodil items will be channeled to help the different services, such as welfare, rehabilitation and patient support.
“The Daffodil is an international symbol of hope for all people affected by cancer. The flower of spring was chosen because of its reputation as a hardy flower, pushing its way through the frozen earth after a long winter which symbolizes new life, vitality and growth. Daffodil Days has been widely celebrated worldwide for more than 20 years.”
I bought an excess of Daffodil pins and cloth pins and would thus like to take this opportunity to give some of these items away to anyone who’s interested. All daffodil merchandise will be given free with postage. Every bit counts and I hope that this will help create awareness of cancer in our community. For those who are interested to own either the daffodil pin or cloth pin, please kindly leave a comment or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
