My ideas usually come not at my desk writing but in the midst of living.

. recap of Jan 2012 .

As we enter into the 2nd month of the year, I would like to take some time to reflect on all that had happened during Jan’ 2012. I must say that life has been pretty good & kind to me but I confess that I haven’t been quite on track with my New Year resolutions … Charged as guilty!

♦ Work Exciting times are on the horizon, currently working on 2 main projects – an upcoming TV show & a carnival-style event – amongst many other smaller sponsorship deals.

♦  Healthy Living -  Been keeping up with the cliche healthy stuff such as drinking more water and eating more greens (especially tomatoes) lately. Just started on my hot yoga classes with a boutique yoga studio and I must confess that I’m in love with hot yoga! Kenneth, a hardcore yogi friend of mine, has successfully converted me into a supporter of yoga! :p Am also trying to swim at least once/week and squeeze in at least 15 mins Ballet Beautiful blast workout each day. Despite my attempts to steer my life to a healthier direction, back acne has been my greatest enemy lately. Very depressing. :(

A FIRST for me to participate in a record-breaking illusion show – The Mind Heist by JC Sum & Magic Babe Ning.

HobbyMK and I just bought ourselves a blue ukulele so our goal is to be able to play simple tunes by the end of the year. However, the boy loves the ukulele so much that he has brought it home, thus leaving me with ZERO chance of even touching the ukulele! :p Perhaps, time to get one solely for myself? Quite delighted to find relatively cheap ukulele courses offered by PA!

The Viral Factor with Bausch+Lomb PV2HD Lens

Learn about the movie:
International Security Affairs agent Jon is on a dangerous mission to escort a criminal scientist to another country. En route, a member of his team turns out to be a traitor and shoots Jon in the head while kidnapping the scientist. When Jon wakes up in the hospital, a doctor tells him that within weeks, the bullet in his brain will cause complete paralysis. Jon returns to Beijing to see his mother, who confesses that Jon has a brother in Malaysia who was raised by his father, a gambler. Jon takes a flight to Malaysia to find his brother, Yeung. On the plane he forms a bond with Dr. Kan, who promises to look into possible treatments for his condition. However, when they arrive, Yeung tries to kidnap the doctor and when Jon intervenes, he’s also taken hostage. The two soon realize they’re brothers, and decide to work together in order to keep the criminals behind the kidnappings from reinfecting the world of a disease long thought cured.

My say: Considering Jay Chou’s insane popularity in Singapore, I’m sure that having him starred in the leading role helps to sell the bulk of the movie tickets! A highly action-packed film, The Viral Factor seems to run on a sequence of action scenes, from huge explosions to speedy car chases to gun fights which will definitely satisfy the adrenaline rush in you. Despite the stunning choreography, the movie also aims to be a partial drama movie by playing up on Jon’s (Jay Chou) impending disability and this, in turn, focuses on the importance of putting family kinship before everything else.

See HD Optics in action to find out how you can reduce the appearance of blurriness, halos and glare.

The PureVision2(R) HD (aka PV2HD) lens is a great pair of contact lens for this action flick as it helps to reduce blurriness, halos and uncomfortable glares for the wearer. With design enhancement, the PureVision2 HD lens has provided a crisp and clearer vision for me throughout the screening of “The Viral Factor”, which is vital for a high-energy action movie. This also ensures that my clarity was not being compromised as there were many scenes involving explosions and gunfight battles which can be a tad chaotic at times.

Jack & Jill with Bausch+Lomb PV2HD Lens

Learn about the movie:
“Jack and Jill” is a comedy focusing on Jack Sadelstein (Adam Sandler), a successful advertising executive in Los Angeles with a beautiful wife, Erin (Katie Holmes) and kids, who dreads one event each year: Thanksgiving. This is when Jack’s identical twin sister Jill (also Adam Sandler) arrives . Jill’s neediness and passive-aggressiveness is maddening to Jack, turning his normally tranquil life upside down.

My say: With funny man Adam Sandler starring in Jack & Jill as both the lead character, I must say that I expected the movie to be funny and comical. Unfortunately, despite the crude humour and an excellent performance by the great Al Pacino, Jack & Jill turns out to be 1 of Sandler’s weakest movie as it seems to lack a punch.

Exceptional visual quality with High Definition Optics

The PureVision2(R) HD (aka PV2HD) lens promise to reduce blurriness in low-light conditions and sharpen the details for the wearer. The unique High Definition™ Optics design has enhanced the colour contrast and provided a crisp and clearer vision for me throughout the entire screening of “Jack & Jill”. The special effects and make-up used in the movie was pretty amazing (the transformation of Adam Sandler into a “female”) but the PV2HD lens have definitely enhanced my movie experience by creating even richer and more vivid effects for me.
