Doing some random checking of my past emails and I realised that I have yet to post some of those fun and silly old’ shots of my SIM friends and me. Some serious, serious damage that we had done to ourselves with such modifications and distortions.

—————————————————————————

.The birthday day gal.
Guess what my lovely sister got for her 18th birthday?
The stylish & latest gadget from Samsung.
.Samsung Omnia, all sleek & loaded with top-of-the-line multimedia functions.

My! If I were to place my samsung hp beside her’s … it would certainly pale in comparison!

————————————————————————–

And finally, I got myself a new but cheap ♥ pendant for my hp charm, engraved with LOVE and twinkle with a little ‘diamond’ (of course, it aint real!). Now, I have ’love from everyone’ wherever I go.

Speaking of loves, I think I’ve found a new love: Brendan Fraser. Now, i usually don’t make it a habit to catch movies in the cinemas (ex!) unless I really think it’s worth it. But I might just make another exception for the 2 upcoming action-packed movies. It’s just a pure coincidence that Brendan Fraser will be starring in those summer-blockbusters.

If you know me, I’ve always been fascinated with pyramids, mummies, and all the mystery that surrounds them and although the ‘Mummy’ movie series reflect nowhere near the historical truth, it’s still a movie that I wldn’t miss watching. In fact, my entire family is hooked to the trilogy.

I know. How can anyone not read the book ‘ Journey to the center of the Earth’ ? Unfortunately, I’m 1 of those. However, a ride down ‘to the center of the earth’ ( at Japan DisneySea) changed my mind and Im determined to watch this movie for a summarized version of the book lol.

.what a weekend of festivals!.

July 28, 2008 · 4 Comments

Friday!

Night Festival with babes - Juliet, Olivia, Su :)

Have you ever seen the National Museum being lighted up at night and looking all glorious against the midnight backdrop? Here’s your chance now, in seeing the museum being transformed into the many facades works of art! On till 3rd August, dont miss this chance!

The camera is vital in capturing the best and most unforgettable moments.

Sunday!

So, while Saturday’s gone with completing advertising project (very unfortunate), Sunday’s a great day out with the boy! You know, how many Singaporeans love to complain about how boring this little island is. I beg to differ though - there’re actually many things that 1 can do to enrich or add in a little excitment to their lives. Look! just for this weekend itself, I attended not 1 or 2 but 3 festivals!

Singapore Heritage Festival - Vintage Car Showcase

I’ve always told baby that i would pick a vintage car anyday, over those flashy Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini. It’s what I would call a true hard-found gem in the automobile crown if you ever do own such a precious beauty. It’s such a pity that this event wasn’t really publicised and hence, there was a pathetic turnout for it.

Old-school van! Do you even see such vans around these days!?

My all-time favourite! Sexy Vintage Baby from the 1930’s. Look at just how well-maintained this precious is. And check out the number of awards that it won. WOW.

.Singapore Garden Festival.

Been to the previous one held in 2006 with Cherie, Jocelyn, Jia Zhen and I told myself that I would attend the next one so here I am with MK baby for SGF’ 2008 ! :)  Been bugging him about this event ever since we went to a similar one on a special 16th Feb.

Here’s a teaser of the grandeur artworks that you can expect!

There’re too many pictures and none of which do justice to the real deals. A sneak preview of what you can view if you were to head down for SGF. Trust me, for just $3 (wkday price) - it’s really worth every of your cent. Well, that’s if you can ignore the madness of the crowd.

Here’s some of my favourites :)

I call this “Secret Garden”. Look at how they create the morning mist fused with the dawn sunrays. And frankly, if i do live in the countryside - this would be the exact landscape that I would want at my backyard to make it picture-perfect. A sanctuary in the garden.

An oriental loving for you now. And you guess it right… who else but designers from China could come up with such an oriental exhibition!

It’s time for some Japanese influence. Something less far-fetched and more practical - I could get used to having this exterior garden architecture at my backyard for my future house. A fusion of water features, greenary, pebbles and gravel paths … sounds like what most would call perfect feng shui!

The ‘All-Time Favourite’ display, as voted by the mass. True indeed, while all the displays astounded me .. this one just simply surpasses all my expectations! ‘Under the Sea’. True indeed, I felt as if I was a mermaid living thousands leagues under the ocean. Ever so surreal, it brings out the ‘fantasy side’ of me. You must simply see it to believe it.

It’s not all just landscaping done by professionals and experts. Even the little kids from kindergarden to students from JCs had their chance at trying to come up with something original. And honestly, Im impressed by the ingeunity that some of these students have! Imagine trying to utilise tires, computer keypad and even a fan to incorporate to the floral arrangement. Honestly, if you ask me - I’m jealous that I didn’t thought of such innovative ideas before! lol.

Here’s the boy reliving his childhood memories and acting all “kiddish”! Somedays, I really have no idea what’s gotten into him…

Surrounded by flowers and more flowers, I would call this ‘paradise in heaven’.

Falling in love with you over & over again, you’re always driving me insanely in love!

Happy memories that we both share …
We’ll be back for more floral-loving come 2010.

Monday!

Who says that it’s all just boyfriend and love and no time for anything else? Now now, a separation from the boy is good and there’s always time for girlfriends. The company of Sok Yin dear is without a doubt, countless of fun. Hungry and starved, we devoured into our food immediately. Nobody else does western soup as yummy as Soup Spoon.

Lazy to wait for the ridiculously long toilet queues over at bugis, we decided to sneak into the pristine clean restroom over at Intercontinental Hotel. And yes, never missing a chance for a pic opportunity.

It’s 3am now and Im still wide awake. Craving for yummy french fries now.

*Ashleen- thanks for your nice comments! btw, i used ’segoe script’ for the fonts! I love the “handwriting script” too lol  )

.Friends & Thoughts.

Met up with Friend A (she doesn’t want to be disclosed) and soy hoon dear on Tuesday. You know, sometimes- it’s magical how friendships and friends are. Something happened and basically, A and me didn’t get the chance to keep in touch with each other (Despite being close pals prior to this) for the entire of this year till now. It’s a long, complicated story but to cut it short, I didn’t think that things will resume the way like it was back then. Sometimes, once ‘a trust is broken’, it’s hard to ignore the past and reconcile. Yet surprisingly, all it took was some clarification and heart-to-heart talk and we’re back on track once more. No “hard feeling…”, nope. Perhaps, it got to do with the foundation of the friendship to begin with. Just makes me wonder - had it been a casual friend, would the ending have been the ‘happy ending’ that it is now? Most probably not… heck, it probably wldn’t even mattered in the first place. I suppose ‘tolerance’ and ‘understanding’ are the key factors to some of our most meaningful friendships - as quoted from a site, ‘Tolerance beings with it a unity of spirit, develops a bonding between hearts and strengthens each one in the desire to be virtuous.”

I know I’ve been on this topic of ‘friendship’ quite a fair bit but as i was making my way home just now, I happened to see a group of Japanese women (probably in their 40s and 50s) gathering together and all hyped up about their 3hrs long walk along the broadwalk at MacRitchie Reservoir. Couldn’t help it but smile when I saw the sight of these ladies all bubbly and energized about meeting one another - and it made me wonder if i could be in the exact same position 30 yrs down the road with my fellow group of close gfs. I know it’s not easy - once working life starts, that’s when everyone gets more involved in their careers and the pursuit of career satisfaction, promotions and climbing the corporate ladder. We all know how work can snap so much of our energy and time, and at times, if you say so - the positive energy that we have. And before you know it, some of your friends will probably get hitched and settle down with their own families. Time’s scarce and with so many other priorities, i reckon it wouldn’t be as easy for meet-ups as it is for us while we’re still schooling.

But one thing I like is the fact that for my close girlfriends-  life goes on for each of us - school, boyfriends/girlfriends, part-time work, etc - we might not meet each other that frequently (say, once in every 2-4 mths or in the case of sara love, it’s once/yr! ) but when we do meet up, the time spent is fulfilling and indeed, very meaningful. We understand that each of us have our own life and we don’t demand for each other’s time..  Like 1 of my wise friend said - it’s not the quatity, not the number of times that friends meet up, but rather so - the quality of time spent together that makes a friendship ever more special than average. I used to think that the quantity matters but now that I’m older, I begin to see that it’s more than just the figures & numbers.  Wouldn’t be surprised at all if im still in close contact with my fellow girlfriends decades down the road.  :)

.Money Talks.

So many random thoughts and 1 that’s at the top of my mind now is money and savings. i know money can make the world go round but honestly, sometimes i hate money talks - it’s sooo stressful with the increasingly expensive cost of living in singapore lol.

Here’s some ’super saving’ methods as suggested by Cleo magazine and fp!

- Cab rides are a huge waste of money.
So true, I love public transport and always prefer those to cabs anyday. but being the procrastinator I am, i can be late for sch at times and that’s when i have to relunctantly wave for a cab. Bad, bad habit - seriously, I need to learn to be on time!

- Start shopping at heartland areas!
You would be surprised but some of my fav. places to shop for tops/accessories are This Fashion, Top 20, Song & Song at my favourite heartland areas (amk, tpy!). Cheap and frankly, look pretty decent. But no doubt about it, I indulge in a little of shopping at slightly expensive places once in awhile.

-No impulse shopping! Have a thorough thought process.
Fully agree with this. Believe in making a list of things that I want to get, and the reasons of getting them.

- Drugstore brands are good too.
I love Watsons! Enuff’ said. Even my water bottle comes from there lol.

So far, im pretty alright & happy with the way I manage my spending and saving but of course, you know - we can always do better when it comes to saving. Im no exception too.

I would very much like to try the following methods:

- As much as i dont enjoy carrying heavy bags, im however gonna try make it a habit to carry a bottle of water with me everywhere i go now. Saves on buying drinks when Im out!

- Throwing at least a $1 coin into a piggy-bank. Sounds like what we did when we were young but hey, that’s abt an extra $30 saved/mth!

- I have this bad habit of leaving the main plug swtiched on even if im not using electrical appliances. Now, calls for the time to start swtiching off the main plugs when not in use.

- Keeping track of expenses! Im old-school so perhaps, a ‘pen-paper’ method of keeping track of daily expenses would be good to start with. Main problem = troublesome! haha.

—————————————————————-

So, with less than 3wks left to my trip - it becomes inevitable that the next concern that i have in my mind is the type of clothes that i shld bring over for my stay at UB. Frankly, im pretty lost about ‘what to pack and what are the neccessary stuff that i shld have.’ If you guys know me well enough, I can never bring enough of stuff overseas and very often, it’s alot of accessories and a wardrobe full of clothes lol.! Samuel knows best - he says that all girls will need to bring enough clothes just so that they can alternate the clothes and not wear a repeated outfit in the same week lol. Sounds like erm, me.. haha.

Really love Rachel Bilson’s sense of style! Though I reckon that when winter comes, i’ll need ALOT more warmer clothes to tide me through the freezing winter months.

Trying to multi-task now. The boy wants to put together a photo album of some of our most memorable times together, so that I can look through them when Im at UB. Hence, here i am looking through the hundreds & hundreds of pictures trying to choose the selected ones! Not an easy task, I must say when there’s an abundance of pictures to choose from lol.

Out with the girls for Night Festival in a few hours’ time! Saturday’s supposed to be reserved for ‘garden festival with baby’ but perhaps, it’s got to be postponed for assignment  :(

It was love at first sight when I laid my eyes on this piece of truly vintage & unique “Loves Me, Loves Me Not” clock. What’s there not to love about this particular piece?

But — it’s not cheap and im supposed to be on track for my “let’s save money” plan  :(
arh, temptations. temptations. Temptations!

Get the latest copy of CLEO magazine right at this instant lol.
Rmr the sentosa outing I had with my lovely girlfriends? Yea, we are featured in the CLEO’s biggest fashion shot ever albeit being 1 of the many many 420 girls who turned up too!

Trying spotting us in the midst of the crowd.

Here’s a clue made easier for you! *please - oli and i are the ONLY 1s lying down lol*

Half of 2008 is gone and yes, everyone has either became 21 or is on their way on turning a big 21…Friday’s such love with soy hoon babe! Happy 21st Birthday,my dear :) Welcome to the world of independence.

Egyptian Restaurant off at Haji Lane. The food’s good & really hearty. Reminds me of the daily egyptian feast that i had during my vacation to the land of mystery and exotic last year. but we came out of the place all, coated with a layer of oil and smelling of kebab & sweat!

That girl got herself in for a surprise when 2 of her besties and bf popped by with a chocolate-mint cake and a lovely bouquet of roses (admit it, no matter how impractical flowers are, we still love receiving them anyday!). I always go ga-ga over surprises like this, should see the smile on Soy’s face! She was brimming with happiness the whole time after that lol.

It’s another 21ST BIRTHDAY celebration over at Little Bali (i love this place!) come Saturday! MK’s good pal, Seno’s birthday. Yup, that’s the handsome Indian guy in the middle and by his side, it’s another of MK’s good friend - char, Seno’s gf! An interracial relationship, reminds me of my previous r/s lol.

I’ve been to many 21st birthday parties this year. Oh well, everyone’s turning 21 after all right?! But this has got to be 1 of the most entertaining 1 i’ve ever been to. Games, Contests, MC host and even a Balinese dance performance just for the guests all set in the midst of a very Balinese-greenary ambiance. Another thing I realised about Indian birthday celebrations is how family-oriented these gatherings are :)  Everyone helps in 1 way or another - whether it’s the decorations or planning of the games & dance performance, food … It’s heart-warming in a way to see how close-knit the family can be (distant relatives included) in this modern age whereby young adults have the higher tendency to disregard the importance of kinship.

The poly friends taking part in a contest!

MK with his “broomstick = guitar ” !

Even the little kids had their turn at the “dancing” contest too! Everyone’s favourite moments!

This little boy here is the ”Michael Jackson in the-making”. Seriously, everyone and i mean EVERYONE was awed by his dancing skills despite being only so young! He’s good!

Yes, more pictures of us both together!

It’s a weekend of 21st Birthday parties.. unfortunately, I can’t make it for both Amelia’s & Shi Xing’s birthday celebrations - but HOPE you guys had a blast for your birthdays :) :)  And yes Sara love, Im jealous! That girl’s friends back at Vancouver actually surprised her with a Limousine (mind you, a stretch-limo!) Birthday Party! And I thought such parties only happen to those rich, wealthy kids from MTV MY SWEET 16 shows lol.

Yes, im starting to love doing crafts more often than before now. Makes me smile & relax whenever Im not in the exact best of mood.

.pretty clay flower rings.

And my best masterpiece thus far lol. I call it “Ticking Away in Time”.

Speaking of time. Time’s ticking and it’s just another 3weeks more before I depart for New York. I would call what im experiencing at the moment a fusion of both excitment & hype and a sense of dreading for that day to come. Excitement! It’s the BIG APPLE that we’re talking about - The city that never sleeps so for obvious reasons, Im super keen to visiting the place and yes, due to the lack of time - we’ll be doing very touristy-stuff lol. Sight-seeing and shop. But let’s also not forget about the main reason of my trip - yes, UB. It’s not gonna be as easy as to just concentrate on studies and getting good grades for the modules. It’s gonna involve more - having to commit to household chores (cleaning and tidying the room, doing your own laundry), buying groceries and cooking, managing your own finances, etc. This process of “maturing and independent living” enthuses me. Also, the fact that i’ll probably get to meet alot more people from various races so it’s an eye-opener experience to get to learn more about different, diverse cultures.

On the other hand, I wouldn’t deny that ‘changes’ is something that I might take some time and effort adjusting to. Yes, being home-sick and knowing that your very loved ones wldn’t be physically there to give u the emotional support. Distance plays a part and it’s a factor that penerates fear in me. It’s probably moments like this whereby you would truly learn to cherish the ones closest to you and not take them for granted for you know how blessed you really are to be surrounded with so much love back in your homw country. But I know, at the end of the day that if im going there, i have to fully utilise this experience and get the best that I can out of it.

There’s so much things on my mind now. Preparation of the trip (yes, it seems like a never-ending process). Money, money, money concerns. On a happy note, I managed to switch to a lower-priced airfare ticket so saving me $450 ! :)  Something’s been bothering me a little lately. Im really tired of having to please everyone. Stop imposing your standards of “what you think is right-or-wrong” onto others. I believe that everyone knows how to go about prioritizing and organising their lifestyles and needs so give them a break from your rantings and judgements. No one needs such shit from you.

Just received a confirmation email from the crew of “The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet” at FOX studios, NYC! Cherlynn and I are gonna be part of the audience for a LIVE show and continental breakfast from Au Bon Pain will be provided too! So exciting, haven’t been involved in a live television taping before! Main disadvantage? We have to be there before 7.45am! Ah, and we aint exactly early birds, esp. on a vacation lol !

———————————————————————–

Haha. That silly boy! Just received a letter from him. As quoted “Hand delivered with Love” :P An old-fashioned love letter in the mailbox from him lol. Who still does things like this nowadays?

Hmm, sometimes - we hear people saying you never know how true One’s love can be until the relationship is tested against a “crisis or a difficult patch”. So true. MK baby is having a little difficulty with some issues at the moment and I know it’s been bothering & stressing him out alot lately. Been helping him to work things out together & taking small positive steps towards the solution. I believe that by going through such a challenge together, it will only serve to strengthen the relationship that we both share and bring it forth to another level. What’s a relationship if one party leaves the other in lurch when a problem arises?! Baby’s sooo adorable, keeps thanking me non-stop. Yes dear, i heard you and i love you so dearly too. Such an integral part of my life :) On another note, we’re also on a “cut back, save $” track, trying to spend less on our dates (honestly, now- we are such a ’stay at home couple’ lol !) & save.

Chilled out at Nicole darling’s cozy home on Thursday…

She sure wasn’t kidding when she said that her room is 1 cozy spot and a great place for chill-out sessions with friends. Look! A swinging chair & a hammock right on top of her bed, which is basically a risen wooden platform with cushions & comforters. A nice fusion of balinese and native Americans’ influence (you shld see the astonishing number of feather necklaces & dream-catchers and trinkets that this girl has!).

Dear working hard at whipping up the various dishes for our dinner.. While yours truly excelled at slacking.

Fried chicken, with leeks & mushroom flavouring, yum.

Nicole baby’s delicious salmon-mushroom pie! Yes babe, it was truly tasty and I will be counting the days till the next home-cooked food session.

Honestly, I love this girl. No one else I know does things like this girl and that’s the reason why I thoroughly enjoy her company. Unfortunately, she’s 1 busy bee lol :P  takes me ages to find the right time to meet up with her. More dates please, NO MORE 7mths wait in-between lol.

One particular topic that we talked about that really intrigued me and kept me pondering is the idea of wanting a simple life and being easily contented with what we already have. But come on, we both know it’s Singapore that we’re talking about. Fast and competitive pace of living - always the constant need to join the rat race … to excel in our careers, qualifications. At times, if you don’t match up to the others - you’re out, yes the inevitable societal pressure. Oh yes, and money & saving. Im on this guilt trip of knowing that I would be spending a bomb from my own savings on this UB trip and all the expenses that come along with it. But I tell myself that it’s worth the investment and experiences and yes, that makes me feel much better :)

Im so happy to see Nicky lavishing so happily in the simple things in life that she enjoys - cooking, sewing, and in her own words “being a Stepford Housewife” on her off-days from work. Gives her the time to breathe and remain sane in this “dog eat dog world”. True indeed sometimes, life’s gotten to a point that it’s so hectic and stressful that it becomes easily to lose one’s perspective of the meaning of life. If it’s not the constant struggle to have to maintain the grades, then it’s the need to find relevant jobs for prior job experience or jobs to fund for the extra allowance. I admit, I want to try my utmost best in the things I do and not remain behind. It’s easy to get caught up with the race and pressure. And when there’s free time at hand, I certainly jump at the opportunity to meet up with friends for catch-up sessions or just having a blast together. As much as i love and enjoy the company of my friends and i guess, being a ‘workaholic every now & then’, there are times whereby i truly just want some time-out. Just time for myself and yes only myself. I don’t wish to eschew time with friends or loved ones just for myself - like I always say, if i could i would love for more time and energy just so that I can cater and be there for everyone but frankly, it comes to a point whereby Im just tired. I can’t please everyone and if anyone’s ever disappointed in me for not living up to your expectations, Im sorry but I want to live a life for myself and to do things that would take my mind off the hustle & obligations in life. I would love to sit by the river bank and read a novel all afternoon … or set a picnic at Botanic Gardens and people-watch … walk around the estate and admire the exterior designs of the houses. Or do more crafts, which I recently picked up. It’s nice to have some time alone to recollect one’s thoughts, to rejuvenate oneself and get fully recharged.
I want that.

Ahh, been so busy with new school project & quizzes … planning of NYC itinerary ( exciting! cherlynn babe & i got most of our places of attraction planned out. Makes me REALLY looking forward to visiting the BIG APPLE !!! Too little days, too much stuff to do. ) … meeting up with gf darls … and other exciting plans in the pipeline.

Thursday:

Final meet-up with sara love before she flew back to Vancouver, as well as a mini-reunion gathering with the gals :)  We even took neoprints (so yesterday!) just to reminise about the good old times that we had back in secondary school.

You know that I miss your company and all the fun moments that we shared through the month of June!

Saturday:

You can never guess where the both of us head to on a Saturday night. Nope, not clubs or parties but on an ‘Urban Legends Tour’ organised by API ( http://www.api.sg/). Quite an adventurous couple that we are lol. Know what’s the most ironic thing of it all? Im a TOTAL COWARD when it comes to supernatural stuff … seriously!! I get freaked out with the slighest thing ever, when it comes to dealing with the supernatural and unknown. Baby, now you know the timid side to Steph lol.

Spastic shots prior to our journey into the UNKNOWN.

Itinerary!
* no pics of locations as I don’t want to risk taking pics of anything unwanted, if you guys get what i mean*

Pasir Ris Swamp - Highlight of this visit? To be able to see fireflies - all lighted in green against the backdrop of darkness. Who knows that we can still spot fireflies on this little island that we call Singapore?

Changi Mystery: Old Changi Hospital, Former Commando Barracks - I never ever thought that I would step foot into the allegedly “most haunted place in Singapore” but yes, i did so last Sat. Perhaps thanks to the large crowd of us (50 pax), it actually didn’t appear to be as spooky or eerie as claimed. But of course, put me there alone or as a couple, you can be sure that I would be scared at wits end!

Ponggol Urns Forest - Over 1000 urns found in a strange structure in the midst of the forest. Tiring. Trekking into the foresty woods late into the night. Nothing could be more spookier than this. Quite disappointing in the sense that the urns turned out to be nth other than decoration structures but 1 thing that we learnt is that this area used to be the site of the very 1st ZOO in Singapore. Not Mandai, but a zoo started by some Chang Brothers! Interesting, I never knew that …

Marsiling Tunnel - The infamous tunnel which rumours state that links Spore to JB. Proven untrue by yours truly. And yes, more trekking. Frankly, this trip turned out to be more of a night hiking trip with the amount of exercise and walking that we did. Thankfully, we were greeted with this pretty view at the very end:

Cemetery Village, Bukit Brown Cemetery - Visiting a cemetery at night is NO joke. No lights available, and you have freakin huge ants running up your legs. It’s quite atrocious if you were to ask me but hey, we roughed it out. It amazes me how the caretaker is actually able to build a living space for himself out of a tombstone. Yes, the tombstone was the center piece of his living space and honestly, the place looked like it just came out of war or something similar. But yet, I have full admiration for him for having the guts to stick it out being a caretaker at a cemetery and being almost the only living amongst the dead.

All that amount of exercising made us severly famished and off to our favourite supper hangout, Tong Shui.

Monday:

Loving every minute of her company :)

A really mundane and nothing-better-to-do post about daily raves and rantings.

Short meet-ups with Sara love and MK baby. Congrats to him for being accepted to UniSA. Ready to embark on your university journey? :)  it’s not an easy journey … coping both full-time work albeit ns and studying part-time and still having to pay back the bank loan w interest rates once it’s due. So proud of my boy! Am checking out on cheaper educational loan packages for him right now.

Just read an interesting thread on “Stingy Boyfriends or Significant Other” - On how girls view bfs who rather spend on other expenses such as car, latest gadgets, gaming or anything else rather than on their gfs. Seems like there’s quite a no. of gfs or ladies out there who feel that it’s a big turn-off when guys rather spend more on other stuff than on their gfs and on the relationship. Understandable.

Personally, i believe it’s a nice bonus when the guy offers to pay for most of the dates and the expenses incurred during the dates. THANK YOU baby :)  Yes, bonus but not a neccessity. Going dutch isn’t wrong and 1 should not expect the other party to pay for all the dates too. It’s so weird how females these days would like to be portrayed as financially independent and capable … to be of the same level as men and yet for some of them, they actually expect their bfs or SO to buy extravagent things such as luxury goods ( Prada, Chanel, Dior, u name it!) or foot for their shopping expenses AT ALL TIMES. ( haha* Professor Bob said that humans are conradictory creatures … and i guess in many ways, it’s so true. I know I can be very fickle-minded at times too lol. ) I guess it’s alright if the guy pampers the girl - afterall, all females love a little pampering & loving sometimes .. aint i right, ladies? - by purchasing something expensive or luxurious once in awhile but to require him to do so all the time? I think that’s a little too much isn’t it?!? If the girl is able to earn her own money and both parties are say, of roughly the same financial status, i thus don’t see why the gfs cannot foot for their own shopping sprees. Bfs & SO aint cash cows. And the money spent doesn’t exactly equate to how much the other party loves you. Spending more does not mean that the other party loves you more, simple as that. Go get a sugar daddy if that’s what that pleases.

The term “stingy” is very subjective, due to an individual’s opinion. To me, a big no-no when it comes to guys, would be if they ask the gfs to pay for their dates majority of the time or when they even have the cheek to borrow money from the gfs and keep coming up with a thousand and 1 reasons to delay the payment. Or when they feign ignorance when it comes to special occassions such as Birthdays, Anniversary, Christmas, etc just to escape from having to buy gifts or have a simple celebration with their gfs. Now, something’s got to give once in awhile, aint it so?
