baby, happy 2nd month

Like we’ve mentioned to each other a thousand and one times before – how our love journey first begins still amazes us both tremendously. we could never ever get bored of talking about the same topic over and over again lol. Who would have ever thought that you + me would eventually end up together? It’s all such an ironic twist of fate that turns out to be unexpectedly beautiful

Sure, it’s only been 2 months, a really short period of time as many would say.
As some might say, “still the honeymoon period”….
And we both know that anything could happen… there’s still bound to be many challenges and obstacles that we would have to face in the near future.
But for now, who are they to judge us when they are not in our positions?
Sometimes, all it takes is just that special connection you have with the other party…

You are the first and last person I think of, with each passing day.
The ONLY one who could inspire a technology-idiot like me to actually start up a blog (when i always say i wouldn’t) just so that I can document our journey together.
The one who always makes me look forward to weekends as I know, those would be the days whereby I get to see you and spend precious time with you.
The one who makes me want to become a better person in general, not just to you but to those whom i so dearly love.

Reflection:

It seems almost inevitable that when we are young, our ambitions and expectations of how we should lead our lives rages … Very often, the burden of such harsh expectations swamp our minds and lives to a huge extent.
We often feel that if  our lives are not kept wildly occupied most of the time, this would thus indicate that life seems unfulfilled and that we are not living life to the fullest of our abilities. As such, the simple things in life are often not appreciated – people usually look for the glitz and glamour of life … not wanting to be just another ordinary, average Jane or Tom; in other words, we desire to be so much more. To be successful in our own means – whether it’s career-wise, financial matters, artistic talents or obtaining a certain level of social status. In the pursuit of such accomplishments, some sacrifices have to be made – and in most instances, family bonds … friendships …. and relationships with others are the first to go. All of which, in my opinion, are the fundamental and essential factors of a meaningful life. Sure, everyone wants to accomplish major feats in their lives – who doesn’t? – but we should not forget the simplest things in life which could also be the most beautiful.

Just cannot seem to take my eyes off Dustball these days….
reserving most of my evenings exclusively for her now. love.
she might seem really tiny but hell, she’s actually one mighty girl-

  

climbing ‘monkeybars’ on her 4s around the cage,
eating sweet peas and other seeds from my palm,
peeing at just one corner of the cage – yes, that’s her exclusive peeing corner… Neat!
she even jumps onto my palm whenever i place my hand into the cage – now tell me, how many hamsters would do just that?

and I know… Mr. MK is jealous because he isn’t here to witness all the cute antics of Dustball lol.

On a sidenote, just decided to post a video of baby flairing…
that video was taken ages ago when he was still a bartender.
he says it’s super mediocre and average (maybe?)
but to a flairing idiot like me, I think it’s impressive. That’s something that i can NEVER do (for now). lol.

I know this sounds bimbotic but I really love their silky tresses…
would take me hell long to even get to close to that length and my previous
hair extensions made my natural hair so entangled that it scared the crap out of me.

schoolwork is piling. lots of deadlines for projects and assignments.
and yet all i can do is to procrastinate 24/7.
cant seem to be able to concentrate on mugging or anything related to studies for that matter.

1st time trying out the rather-raved about Ichiban Sushi with baby…
making it a habit to have jap food at least once/fortnight. it’s our favourite.
we really ought to try out another type of cuisine more often, but alas i only get to see him once-twice/week  

we love ice-cream too. If only Awfully Chocolate gives me a ring anytime soon to update me of the training times. Idulgence in ice-cream and chocolate is heavenly.

Come Wednesday Night, a long over-due night out with the girls at MOS…
it was a blast but im actually feeling a tad bored of clubbing and dancing these days.
juls and i feel that a night out at a chill-out place would do us much better.
i think we’ve aged too fast… even clubbing is tiring for us.
And vain me decided to wear my new 4-inches killer heels to club. BAD MOVE.
My legs were practically dead at the end of the night. Honestly, I need a foot massage and pedicure desperatedly.

I miss Claire babe. It’s been way too long.
and forgetful me forgot to bring along her 21st birthday present and the way way way over-due souvenier i got specially for her from my jap trip back in august 2007. 6 mths delay. I ought to be punished man. sorry Claire, next time. I promised.

Baby hardly does any cooking. He’s a lazy bum like yours truly.
Heck, everyone knows that I can’t cook for nuts. Surprisingly, most of my guy friends can cook way better than my female friends. To me, i think it’s alright but it’s still shocking to me when guys tell me that sometimes, knowing how to cook is a pre-requisite for them when it comes to the ideal girlfriend.Anyway, what touched me was that baby decided to whip up a simple dish of fried eggs for me despite complaining non-stop about how he would have to clean up the mess and wash the wok after that.

I know. The pics do not do justice to it. It looks terrible here but in reality, it tastes pretty good. enough to satisfy my hunger pangs  :)

she’s super tiny though … only  slightly longer than my last finger…
It’s the first furry pet that baby ever has in his life thus far and I suppose that explains why he dotes on her so much. It’s extremely adorable to see how he gets so eager to want to learn to not only pet and play with her but also, to learn the ropes of proper caring of hamsters. and since she’s living at my place, he’s constantly asking me to update him with the “growing up” process of Dustball.
someone else is getting envious of all the attention that he’s placing on her lol.

I’ve been in love before… and yes, falling in love is easy. maintaining it is hard.

My current NOKIA N70 is getting old and cranky.
It means time for a new handphone.
The chocolate colour of NOKIA 6500 Classic looks super yummy, makes me want to get it.

in fact, it’s been quite some time since i last met up with my cj friends….
a good time indeed to do some catching up of the new times.
outings without javier would never be quite the same again …. going to miss all the humour that he brings to the group.

 Next up, farewell dinner for Shuling at Shokudu Japanese Food Bazaar.
There’s never a dull moment with these girls. Always fun and laughter.

olivia and I  have come a long way back, since first 3mths back in JC.
and now, we’re celebrating our fourth valentine’s day in a row….
2005. 2006. 2007. 2008.
and i know for certain, many more vday dates together ….
It’s certain – my vdays belong to only Olivia. unless she decides to ditch me for her bf one day.

had our cosy little celebration at tea cozy. love the concept of tea cozy – a little cafe inside a unique antique shop. and it holds special memories too…. afterall, MK brought me there for our first date.

and of course, with some time to spare in the ladies, we both couldnt help but to spend a little time doing a little of snapping here and there. i think those who had visited the ladies at that time would inevitably think of us both as some air-headed bimbos who adore cam-whoring lol.

and i love oli’s camera- takes much nicer quality close-up shots. the pics look almost as if they were photoshopped though they werent. most pple would say that they don’t look as good in pics as compared to real-life but oli’s camera just does miracles. im jealous.

and forgot to add,
it’s so sweet of olivia – she got me this lovely cupcake for vday!
couldnt even bear to eat this, looks too pretty to be eaten. lol.

speaking of cupcakes and valentine’s day ….
im such a sucker for being a hopeless romantic …. decided to ditch all ideas of getting expansive and over-priced stuff for MK and eventually, settled into making him a handmade card and custom designed cupcakes specially for him.
Unfortunately, im no baker so had to rope in the help of professionals to bake and decorate the cupcakes.
